Oja Rakiyatu Agnes Ubimago Foundation (ORAU) is a non-governmental organisation committed to improving the lives, dignity, and opportunities of women, children, vulnerable children, and children living with disabilities in our communities.

Our work is driven by the belief that every woman and child deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, access quality education, develop valuable skills, and contribute meaningfully to society. We focus on practical interventions that address the social and economic challenges faced by vulnerable individuals and families.

WHAT WE DO

Our principal areas of activity include:

• Women Empowerment: Supporting women with opportunities, resources, and initiatives that promote self-reliance and economic independence.

• Children and Vulnerable Children: Promoting the welfare, protection, education, and development of children, particularly those facing difficult social or economic circumstances.

• Support for Children with Disabilities: Advocating for inclusion and providing support that helps children living with disabilities access opportunities and participate fully in society.

• Skills Acquisition: Providing practical skills and capacity-building opportunities that can help women and young people become self-reliant and improve their livelihoods.

• Scholarships and Educational Support: Supporting deserving and disadvantaged students through scholarships and educational assistance to help them pursue their studies and build a brighter future.

• Youth Programme and Empowerment:  We aim to develop the potential of young people by providing access to education, skills training, mentorship, and leadership opportunities.
